Apartment in Athens
A full renovation of a 214 m² apartment in the center of Athens. The apartment is used as a home office as well and therefore versatility of the spaces was a priority. The living room and dining area is designed in a way so that it can be isolated from the rest of the spaces. The dining area is used as a meeting room as well. The furniture are all custom-made. The key features are the sliding partition between the kitchen and dining area, as well as the cupboard with built-in device to reveal and hide the tv for presentations during meetings.
Traces of Commerce_Proposal
The project was initialized to revive a well-known abandoned arcade of shops in the center of Athens. The spaces were abandoned of every commercial use for over 20 years. The objective was to recreate those spaces according to the current needs of the area and thus incorporating it again into the urban infrastructure. The idea behind this proposal lies in the fact that games and toys are being transformed into something non material. Kids no longer play in the streets and start to neglect traditional toys. They prefer technology and static games. The moto for this proposal was 'make your city your game'.
